The purpose of the Expansion board is to connect and add extra relays and inputs to trigger external devices such as a fan, heater, contactor, circuit breaker, etc.
The WatchMon has one onboard relay, if you want more outputs the expansion board is ideal. If not communicating with an inverter via CANbus, this helps turn on chargers or loads.
WatchMonCORE is the latest supervisor and is now the core building block.
Follow the commission and troubleshooting guides to install:
CMU and Shunt serial ports have different sets of pins to avoid damage or confusion.
Here is our list of compatible inverters/chargers.
For high-voltage battery pack systems, it's best to adopt a Fully isolated DC-DC to provide a supply voltage of either 12v or 24v, depending on the application.
Inputs can be set individually.
